Christmas items from our collection

As Christmas is fast approaching, here are some of our festive items we hold at the Burgh.

Locked in the near bomb-proof safe in our Darwood Room is a rare collection of Victorian Christmas and birthday cards.  Now that we have some glass display cabinets, we are finally able to put them on display.  They range from 1862 to 1903, and some are beautifully intricate.  If you would like to view them, we are open on Tuesday afternoons from 2pm to 4pm, or by other arrangement.
